Definition
Bare Metal is a complete backup of the entire disk (including partition and boot data) of the machine to be protected in which the operating system is installed and allows users to restore the system even in case of failures or disasters which prevent the operating system from booting.
Bare Metal includes:
- operating system
- installed applications
- configuration settings
- required drivers
