2.4 Restoring a snapshot

To restore a snapshot the Cloud Server must not be showing the status Updating.

A snapshot can be restored in two ways:

Restoring a snapshot from the Snapshots section

To restore a snapshot from the Snapshots section, follow these steps:
  • sign in to the New Cloud Management Platform;
  • in the left vertical menu, under SERVICES select Compute;
  • in the Snapshots area, click on Go to Snapshots;
  • in the Snapshots section, find the snapshot you want to restore and click on the three dots ... at the end of the line;
  • select Restore from the list of options;
  • the Restore snapshot window will open, asking you to confirm;
  • click on Restore to finish.

Restoring a snapshot from the Cloud Server details page

To restore a snapshot from the Cloud Server details page, follow these steps:
  • sign in to the New Cloud Management Platform;
  • in the left vertical menu, under SERVICES select Compute;
  • in the Cloud Servers area, click on Go to Cloud Servers;
  • in the Cloud Servers section, find the Cloud Server you want to restore the snapshot and click on the three dots ... at the end of the line;
  • select Manage from the list of options;
  • this will take you to the Cloud Server details page;
  • in the lower part of the page, select Snapshot;
  • find the snapshot you want to restore and click on the three dots ... at the end of the line;
  • select Restore from the list of options;
  • the Restore snapshot window will open asking you to confirm;
  • click on Restore to finish.
