1.1.2 Requesting a Kubernetes version update

Check the Kubernetes version

• In the Aruba Managed Kubernetes section, find the cluster which you want to know the version of and click on the three dots ... at the end of the row;
• select Manage cluster from the list of options;
• this takes you to the cluster details page;
• under the name of the cluster, you will find all the information including details of the Version;
• the Manage version link can be found next to the version. Click on it to go to the Kubernetes version section.

Check which Kubernetes API will no longer be supported following the update

• In the Manage APIs section, you will find a link to Learn about Pluto;
• you can check which Kubernetes APIs will no longer be supported following the update.

Run the update of the Kubernetes version

• the Manage versions, link is located next to the version. Click on it to access the Kubernetes version;
• at the bottom of the section, you will find the Request update button to update the Kubernetes version;
  (if the button is disabled it means that the latest version is installed);
  • you will be redirected to the 3. Kubernetes Version section of the Edit cluster procedure;
  • select one of the available versions and click on Confirm;
  • the Update Kubernetes pop-up will open showing the version selected and the option to choose when to run the update;
     
    If you have not chosen to run the update in the next few days, the status of the Kubernetes cluster will stay as Updating and you will not be able to make any changes until the update is complete.
  • when you have chosen, click on Confirm;
  • confirm the next steps and finish by click Confirm at the bottom of the page.
