1.1.4 Monitoring a Virtual Private Cloud

Requirement

You must have at least one active Virtual Private Cloud in the Control Panel.

To monitor one or more Virtual Private Clouds, proceed as folllows:
  • sign in to the New Cloud Management Platform;
  • in the left vertical menu, under SERVICES select Monitoring;
  • in the Virtual Private Cloud (VMware) area, click on Go to service;
  • this will take you to the Monitor Virtual Private Cloud (VMware) section;
  • all the Virtual Private Clouds you have created will be listed here;
  • find the one you are interested in and click on Go to monitoring next to it;
  • this will take you to the Virtual Private Cloud monitoring page.

Time interval

Using the Insert Interval select option, you can monitor resources over multiple time frames, choosing from the last hour, day, week, month, or a custom time interval (Insert interval).
The two arrows to the right of the time options allow you to move to the previous or next period (hour, day, week, or month).
 

Cloud PRO to be monitored

VM to be monitored

Select the VDC (virtual data center) and the VM (virtual machine) via the Select Virtual Data Center and Select VM selections.
If you have several VMs in several VDCs, you can decide which VMs to display, even if they are in different VDCs.

Resource charts

You can review resources by selecting the type of metric to apply.

Export or download charts

Click the three dots in the top right corner of the chart. Besides choosing the chart's display size, there are two additional options:
  • Export data: allows you to choose how to export data from the chart, in XLS or CSV format;
  • Download chart: allows you to choose how to download the chart, in JPG or PNG format.
If you wish to download charts of all resources, click the Download charts option located before the charts themselves.
