1.4 Connecting a volume to a Cloud Server

You can connect up to 5 volumes to a Cloud Server.
You cannot connect a volume to a Cloud Server that is in the process of being updated.

To connect a volume to a Cloud Server, follow these steps:
  • sign in to the New Cloud Management Platform;
  • in the left vertical menu, under SERVICES, select Compute;
  • in the Cloud Servers area, click on Go to Cloud Servers;
  • in the Cloud Servers section, find the Cloud Server to which you want to attach a volume and click on the three dots ... at the end of the line;
  • select Manage from the list of options;
  • this takes you to the Cloud Server details page;
  • in the lower part of the page, select the Storage tab;
  • click on + Connect existing volume;
  • the Connect existing volume window will appear asking you to select one of the volumes that have been created but not used yet;
  • click on Connect volume to finish.
The volume you have connected will be displayed in the list of volumes allocated to the Cloud Server.
