8.1.6 Exporting a disk image Cloud Server Pro service guide

Exporting a disk image of your virtual disk is fast and simple on Aruba Cloud:
  1. Go to the edit page of the individual Cloud Server: tab "Manage" and click on the "Manage" button in the list for the Cloud Server that you want to connect the virtual disk to.
  2. Switch off the Cloud Server by clicking on the "Shut Down" button.
  3. Scroll down the summary page of the Cloud Server up to the "Virtual Disk" section and click on "Export" relating to the disk that you want to export. A window will open with the name and location, within the FTP area, of the image that will be created. You will not be able to turn the Cloud Server back on until the image has been created; the time required to export it depends on the size of the disk.
After completing this process you will find the disk image you have just exported in the FTP space, in the indicated position.
It is not possible to export the disk of an archived Cloud Server, to do this you would need to restore it first.

The operations described are examples: the improper use or use without due care and skill, can cause the partial and total loss of data, and in some cases may jeopardize the correct operation of the virtual server. Using this guide without the appropriate skills is not recommended. Aruba S.p.A. does not accept any responsibility for any problems or damage caused by using these guides
