3.2.4 AAAA Records

The AAAA Record is made-up by the association between a host name and the relevant IPv6 address.
With the DNS management service it’s possible to enter multiple AAAA Records. These records can be changed or deleted at any time.

For the configuration of the AAAA Record you will need: Host, IPv6 address, TTL.

Host

The Host represents the third level of the domain to which the DNS is associated and will therefore look like this:
nomehost.domainname.ext
This parameter is optional.

IPv6 address

The IPv6 address has a series of 8 blocks of hexadecimal characters (numbers and letters from "a" to "f") separated by a "colon" ( : ) and looks like the following:
2001:0db8:85a3:08d3:1319:8a2e:0370:7344
This parameter is mandatory.

TTL

The TTL (Time-To-Live) represents the time, calculated in seconds, that is given to the cache DNS to store information of a host before interrogating the authoritative DNS again; or rather it’s the time required to spread on the web a change made to the DNS. Therefore a whole number must be indicated, for example:
86400
So you will have: 60 for 1 minute, 3600 for 1 hour, 86400 for 1 day, 604800 for 1 week, etc ...
This parameter is optional.
