LAN

Local Area Network - The LAN (local area network) identifies a network consisting of computers, peripherals (e.g. printers, fax machines, scanners) and interconnections for exchanging data and resources, which are physically close to each other (e.g. in an office, firm or building). The geographical dimensions of a LAN are contained and this helps data transmission times.
