1.2.1 Adding a rule (inbound/outbound)

Inbound and outbound rules cannot be edited once created. If you need different rules, you will have to create new ones.

To create an inbound or outbound rule in a security group, follow these steps:
  • go to the details page of the VPC Network containing the security group to which you want to add a rule;
  • the Security Group section contains a list of the security groups connected with the VPC Network;
  • find the one you are looking for and click on the three dots ... at the end of the line;
  • select Manage Security Group from the list of options;
  • this will take you to the security group details page;
  • choose Inbound rules or Outboung rules, depending on the rule you want to create;
  • click on + Add rule;
  • the Create inbound rule or Create outbound rule pop up will open, asking for various parameters;
  • click on Save to finish.
