Region / Zone
updated 23/11/2023
A Region is a geographical location that includes one or more Zones interconnected by low-latency, redundant networks. Each Region is completely independent from each other and does not share any environmental risks (seismic, weather or water-related).
Each Zone represents an area of service deployment, independent from the other Zones in their Region, but connected between themselves with high-performance, low-latency, redundant networks, to facilitate synchronized data replication. Zones do not share physical infrastructure, such as Data Centers, servers, network devices, etc. and are therefore not affected by failures occurring in other Zones in the Region.
