AlmaLinux OS is designed to provide an enterprise grade platform for anyone wanting to use GU/Linux for professional use. Developed following the discontinuation of CentOS 8 updates, it represents an alternative to CentOS distribution. Following the same principles, it is still a community-supported, free-to-use, stable Linux open-source distribution, with regular releases that come with long-term support. AlmaLinux OS is fully compatible with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and with CentOS pre-Stream acting effectively as a fork. It fully supports hosting solutions such as Plesk and cPanel. The network is managed using Network Manager and the powerful command line tool “nmcli”. AlmaLinux OS is suitable for any critical workload.
