Configurations
This template has the Windows "Remote Desktop Services" role active and includes "Per User" type CAL licences pre-activated on the system in the quantity chosen during the creation process [5/10/15/30].
On the template, without a preconfigured Active Directory domain, it is not possible to generate reports of the CAL licences used through the Windows Remote Desktop Licensing Manager, consequently it is necessary to keep a manual track of the licences assigned by the server to the Remote Desktop users.
The provided licences are strictly related to the users to whom they are assigned: therefore by selecting 5/10/15 or 30 CAL licences it is possible to create respectively 5 /10/15 or 30 users included in the group of "Remote Desktop Users" who can access the Cloud Server (even simultaneously).
The number of allowed simultaneous connections is equal to CAL + 2, therefore for the available Templates they will be 7/12/17/32.
Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection is preinstalled on the system.
The Windows Firewall is active with rules that block the incoming traffic to the server on the following ports:
135 TCP UDP
137 TCP UDP
138 TCP UDP
139 TCP UDP
445 TCP
Package versions
The template is provided with the Microsoft Service Pack 1 and all the installed security patches up to the 16/09/2012, every so often new versions will be provided with more recent fixes.
