Features

Windows Server 2012 R2 is the most recent version of the operating system dedicated to Microsoft's server environment, whose basic features are scalability, dynamism and an approach geared to cloud computing.

Access

Administrative access is provided via remote desktop, with the Administrator login and the password chosen during setup.

Setup

This template has the Windows "Remote Desktop Services" role active and includes "Per User" CAL licenses pre-activated on the system in the quantities chosen during creation [5/10/15/30].
On the template, as there is no pre-configured Active Directory domain, it is not possible to generate reports for the CAL licenses used via the Windows Remote Desktop Licensing Manager, so you will need to keep track of the licenses assigned by the server to the Remote Desktop users manually.
The licenses provided are linked to the users to whom they have been assigned: so if you choose 5/10/15 or 30 CAL licenses, you will be able to create 5/10/15 or 30 users respectively, belonging to the "Remote Desktop Users" group, who can access the Cloud Server (including at the same time).
The number of simultaneous logins allowed is equal to the number of CAL licenses + 2, so for the Templates available, it will be 7/12/17/32.

The Windows firewall is active and blocks incoming traffic to the server on the following ports:

445  TCP
