ARW-004 - Windows 2022 64bit - RDS (5/10/15/30 CAL)
Features
Windows Server 2022 is a version of the operating system dedicated to the Microsoft server environment. It is essentially scalable, dynamic and cloud computing orientated. The most significant improvements on the previous version are: secure DNS support with DNS-over_HTTPS, AES-256 server message block and SMB East-West encryption, SMB on QUIC, HTTPS and TLS 1.3, Azure Arc and Azure Automanage.
Access
Administrative access is provided via remote desktop, with the Administrator login and password chosen during setup.
Setup
This template acts as "Remote Desktop Service" of active Windows and includes the number of CAL "Per User" licenses pre-activated on the system selected during setup [5/10/15/30].
Licenses provided are strictly linked to the users they are assigned to: selecting 5/10/15 or 30 CAL licenses thereby means that 5/10/15 or 30 users can be created in the "Remote Desktop Users" group to access the Cloud Server (even at the same time).
The number of simultaneous connections permitted is equal to CAL + 2, meaning the number of available Templates, for example, will be 7/12/17/32.
The Windows firewall is active and blocks incoming traffic to the server on the following ports:
135 TCP UDP
137 TCP UDP
138 TCP UDP
139 TCP UDP
445 TCP
This template is a basic installation, suitable for all uses and does not include any special customizations.
