Features

Windows Server 2025 is a version of the operating system dedicated to Microsoft's server environment, whose basic features are scalability, dynamism and an approach geared to cloud computing. The most significant improvements on the previous version are: secure DNS support with DNS-over_HTTPS, AES-256 server message block and SMB East-West encryption, SMB on QUIC, HTTPS and TLS 1.3, Azure Arc and Azure Automanage.

Access

Administrative access is provided via remote desktop, with the Administrator login and the password chosen during setup.
It is possible to access the database via remote access using the SA user and the password chosen during the creation process (SQL Management Studio).

Setup

The Windows firewall is active and blocks incoming traffic to the server on the following ports:

135 TCP UDP
137 TCP UDP
138 TCP UDP
139 TCP UDP
445 TCP

TCP port 1433 is open to enable access to the SQL Server.
