1.1.2 Resource values and vCPU/RAM ratio

Shared resources

For shared resources, only the storage size can be configured.

Shared resources MySQL Microsoft SQL Server
Storage [1] from 1 GB to 100 GB from 1 GB to 100 GB
1. 1 GB increments for storage.

Dedicated resources

For dedicated resources, you can configure the size of your vCPU, RAM, and storage.

Dedicated resources MySQL Microsoft SQL Server PostgreSQL
vCPUs from 1 to 24 [1] from 4 to 16 [2] from 1 to 24 [1]
RAM from 1 GB to 72 GB from 12 GB to 50 GB from 1 GB to 72 GB
Storage [3] from 10 GB to 500 GB from 100 GB to 5,000 GB from 10 GB to 500 GB
1. 1 unit increments.
2. 2 unit increments.
3. 10 GB increments.

vCPU/RAM ratio with dedicated resources

Regardless of which database you chose (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL) when setting up Cloud DBaaS with dedicated resources, the maximum ratio between vCPUs and RAM must be 1 to 3.

You can only decrease the RAM by 2 GB in relation to the 3 to 1 vCPU ratio.

vCPU/RAM ratio for MySQL MySQL / PostgreSQL

vCPUs min. RAM max. RAM
1 1 GB 3 GB
2 4 GB 6 GB
3 7 GB 9 GB
... ... ...
24 70 GB 72 GB

vCPU/RAM ratio for Microsoft SQL Server

no. Licenses [1] vCPUs min. RAM max. RAM
4 4 10 GB 12 GB
6 6 16 GB 18 GB
... ... ... ...
16 16 46 GB 48 GB
1. The number of Microsoft SQL Server licenses (which cannot be selected) is related to the number of vCPUs on a 1 to 1 ratio.
