1.2 Buying an Elastic IP

To buy an Elastic IP follow these steps:

• sign in to the New Cloud Management Platform;
• in the left vertical menu, under SERVICES select Network;
• in the Elastic IPs area, click on Go to your IPs;
• in the Elastic IPs section, click on the Buy an Elastic IP button in the top right.

The Buying a new IP address procedure requires the following details:

• 1. Details
  • IP address name: this is the name that will be used to identify the IP address.
    Rules on naming can be found in the guide to Naming.
  • Tags (optional): tags can be assigned to each IP address created.
    Rules on naming tags can be found in the guide to Tagging.
  • Destination project: each Elastic IP must be assigned to a project. If you do not make a choice, the system will assign the Elastic IP to the default project.
• 2. Location
  • Indicate in which Region to locate the IP address.
    The choice of Region cannot be changed.
  • Click on Continue.
• 3. Billing frequency
  • Choose the billing type for the service.
  • Click on Continue.

Click on Confirm on the right of the sticky bar to complete the order.

The IP address purchased will be displayed in the Elastic IPs section list and will show the status as Creating.
