What a project is
A project is a logical entity that allows you to organize resources within Aruba Cloud. Use a project to group related applications and services, simplifying their management in an orderly way.
You can create multiple projects and use them to follow the application lifecycle, defining separate environments for development, testing and production.
What the default project, the default Bare Metal project and the cloud-v1 project are
Within Aruba Cloud there must always be one and only one default project.
When you first access the
Projects section, the system creates and configures the default project. It is not possible to delete the default project without first creating a new project and
configuring it as the default project.
In the list within the
Projects section, the default project is recognizable by the
DEFAULT badge next to its name.
The default Bare Metal project includes all Bare Metal services.
The cloud-v1 project includes all services delivered through the Control Panel.
How to set a project as the default project
You can set a project as the default project in two ways:
- during the creation of the project, by selecting the specific option Set as default project;
- by editing the project.
