1. Classless Inter-Domain Routing
Example of manual change of DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
Range start - The starting IP and must be within the chosen IP range.
192.168.0.10
Number of IPs - Indicates the number of IPs you want to use starting from the range start.
15
In this example, therefore, you will have the following IP addresses:
entering 192.168.0.10
entering 192.168.0.11
...
...
entering 192.168.0.23
entering 192.168.0.24
Route - With this instruction, you can use DHCP to assign static routes to all servers on your network, allowing them to reach networks outside the usual broadcast domain.
10.0.0.7 gw 192.168.0.11
10.0.0.6 gw 192.168.0.11
172.16.0.0/16 gw 192.168.0.100
DNS - By specifying this directive, all servers will use these addresses for name resolution. Depending on your network configuration, you can specify private addresses (if you have a local resolver) or public addresses such as those of Google or Cloudflare.
192.168.0.150
