Prerequisite
Having
set up the backup job for the first copy.
Having purchased a shared solution with a second copy or a dedicated solution with a second copy.
To create a backup job for the second copy, follow these steps:
- access the Veeam Service Provider Console;
- from the left-hand menu, select Management > Backup jobs;
- select the job for which you want to create the second copy using the respective checkbox;
- click on Create Job in the horizontal menu;
- in the list that appears, select the Backup Copy Job option;
- you will access the New Backup Copy Job section where the following information is required:
- Target Repository
indicate where to store the backups
- select the repository from the Backup repository list (only one repository will be displayed as the other one has already been used for the backup job of the first copy);
- Summary
informative page of the settings chosen for the job;
- Start the job when I click finish - if this option is checked it starts the job at the end of creation;
if not selected, the job will run in the time slot chosen at the time of creating the Backup for Microsoft 365 account in the Control Panel;
- click on Finish to complete the configuration and start the execution of the backup second copy;
- click on Management > Backup Jobs from the left menu;
- now the job will be included in the list.
When a backup job for the second copy is created, it will automatically start for every modification that the system detects on the first copy.
