What initialization is
The initialization operation resets the disk space and template of the Cloud VPS. This is an irreversible action that permanently deletes all data stored on the Cloud VPS and restores it to its original condition. You can perform this operation only when the Cloud VPS is powered off and the snapshot is disabled.
What initialization preserves
During the initialization procedure, the system preserves the hypervisor and size (vCPU/RAM/HD) configured at the time the initialization is requested. The public IP address assigned to the Cloud VPS remains unchanged. Any
scheduled operations associated with the Cloud VPS remain active. Any
load balancers connected to the Cloud VPS must be reconnected after initialization. You may need to reconfigure any
monitoring checks. If you have installed a
Plesk license on the Cloud VPS, you will need to reinstall it after initialization.

Cloud VPS initialization procedure
- Go to the Cloud VPS details page;
- make sure that there is no active snapshot and that the Cloud VPS is powered off;
- select the INITIALIZE button in the SERVER ACTIONS area;
- set a new password for the Cloud VPS management account (you can also use the original password);
- choose whether to keep the original template (selected automatically) or change it;
- choose whether to enable the option for an IPv4 or IPv6 address;
- select INITIALIZE CLOUD SERVER;
- in the Initialize Cloud Server window, confirm the operation and select OK, CONFIRM.
