1.3 Managing a Cloud VPS

Accessing the Cloud VPS details page

Shutting down a Cloud VPS

  • Go to the Cloud VPS details page;
  • the SERVER STATUS shows the status of the Cloud VPS (ON);
  • under the status you can choose between:
    • SHUT DOWN SERVER
      • Shutting down a Cloud Server from the operating system - the Cloud VPS is shut down using the operating system's functionalities. The time required varies depending on the OS and the active procedures, operations, or software. This is the proper way to shut down a Cloud VPS.
      • Forced shut down of a Cloud Server - the Cloud VPS will be forcibly shut down. This operation is immediate and doesn't allow the operating system to execute the proper shutdown procedure. This should only be done if the Cloud VPS cannot be shut down by other methods.
    • RESET - a forced shut down is performed followed by a reboot;

Turning on a Cloud VPS

  • Go to the Cloud VPS details page;
  • the SERVER STATUS shows the status of the Cloud VPS (OFF);
  • under the status, click on the TURN ON SERVER button;
  • this action does not require confirmation.

Edit the name of a Cloud VPS

  • Go to the Cloud VPS details page;
  • in the SERVER ACTIONS area, click on the EDIT NAME button;
  • the Edit Name pop up will open;
  • make the changes required and click on OK, SAVE CHANGES.

Consult statistics of a Cloud VPS

  • Go to the Cloud VPS details page;
  • select the Statistics tab, under the name of the Cloud VPS;
  • you can see usage of resources, choosing between:
    • Processor - vCPU (core) load, measured as a percentage;
    • Network - bandwidth usage, measured in Kbit per second for both incoming and outgoing traffic;
    • Memory - RAM usage measured in GB;
    • Disks - disk space usage;
  • in the Period list, you can view statistics on a monthly, weekly, daily, and hourly basis;
  • by selecting PRINT CHART, you can download the data in PDF format.
