NS record
Each domain has authoritative NS servers registered with the relevant Authority. These servers store all the DNS records for the domain, such as SOA, A, AAAA, MX and TXT records. When a request is made to a host within the domain, the authoritative NS servers direct the request to the configured server according to the settings defined in the records.
The DNS service allows you to add multiple NS records. When the service is activated, five default NS records are automatically configured:
- dns1.cloud.it
- dns1.forpsicloud.cz
- dns1.arubacloud.fr
- dns1.arubacloud.de
- dns1.arubacloud.co.uk
You can edit or delete these records at any time.
The NS record configuration requires:
Domain,
Host and
TTL.
Domain
The domain cannot be changed and corresponds to the one assigned when the DNS service was activated.
Host
The host of the NS record corresponds to the name of the DNS server, for example:
dns1.cloud.it
