1.8 Deleting an Aruba Cloud service

Preliminary considerations

When you no longer need a service, it is important to delete it correctly to:
  • avoid wasting resources and incurring unnecessary costs;
  • ensure data security by revoking access and removing any associated components;
  • keep your cloud infrastructure organized and clear.
Properly managing service deletion reduces the risk of unwanted access and helps you maintain an efficient and secure environment.

What to do when deleting a service

  • Make sure that the service is no longer being used by applications or users.
  • Some services with monthly billing can be deleted immediately or at the end of the prepaid period. Choose whether to delete the service immediately or at the end of the period.
  • Save any important data (disks, databases, configuration files) before proceeding.
  • Disable any roles, SSH keys or credentials associated with the service.
  • Always use the official management panels to decommission the service and avoid untracked manual procedures.
  • If the service is associated with other components (volumes, public IP addresses, backups, etc.), make sure you also remove them to avoid leaving unused resources.
  • Perform a post-deletion check to make sure that no components remain active.
  • Record the deletion of the service to keep your IT inventory up to date.
