What Cloud Monitoring is
With Cloud Monitoring, you can purchase plans and checks to monitor your servers (Cloud Servers, Dedicated Servers, or others), domains, DNS, databases, and, in general, any resource accessible over the Internet through a public IP address or host. Depending on the plan purchased, you can configure multiple checks based on different protocols and services.
You will receive email notifications (and SMS notifications, if you activate the optional service) if an issue is detected with the monitored service and when it returns to normal, according to the time intervals you have configured. Each plan has a monthly cost that is deducted from your credit upon activation and is automatically renewed.
You can access the
Control Panel at any time to edit the plans and checks you have configured. In the dedicated section, you can view the history and analyze any issues in detail.
Who can activate Cloud Monitoring
Cloud Monitoring is available to all Aruba Cloud customers. If you have one or more active
Cloud Servers, you can
activate a FREE plan for each one and start monitoring your services immediately at no additional cost.
What Cloud Monitoring plans are
To start using the service,
purchase a plan. You can then create and edit individual checks. Each check allows you to monitor a service, while the number of checks and other features depend on the type of plan. You can purchase a plan and subsequently upgrade it, but you cannot downgrade it, as plans differ in the number of checks you can perform simultaneously and in the monitoring intervals (
price list).
Plans differ based on 5 parameters:
- Number of checks that can be active simultaneously.
- Minimum frequency at which a check is performed.
- Maximum waiting time before an issue is considered a failed check.
- Number of Regions from which the check can be performed.
- Type of protocols used for checks.

Regions from which checks are performed
For each check you activate, you must specify the
Region from which you want the check to be performed. It is recommended to perform checks from a Region other than the one where the resource being monitored is located. Depending on the selected plan, you can perform the check from one or three Regions.
The available Regions are:
