Aruba OTP application
Aruba OTP is a free application developed by Aruba that allows you to generate one-time passwords (One Time Password) using your device (smartphone/tablet).
How to download the application
Download the application:
The Aruba OTP application requires an Internet connection to work. It can only be installed on a single device (smartphone/tablet), regardless of the operating system.
How to create and activate a user
The first step is to create a user within the Aruba OTP application.
Each user created is associated with two credentials:
- Username - corresponds to the account and can be modified within the Aruba OTP application;
- Activation Code - a numeric code generated for each new activation and cannot be modified within the Aruba OTP application.
To retrieve the Aruba OTP user credentials from the Control Panel:
- log in to the Control Panel using your Cloud account;
- from the menu, select Public Cloud > MANAGE ACCOUNT LOGIN > Access with OTP;
- in the OTP Access section, click the REQUEST ACTIVATION button;
- download the application and choose whether to enter the credentials manually or by scanning the QR code.
How to generate an OTP code
To generate a one-time password:
- launch the Aruba OTP application on your device;
- select the user;
- click the GENERATE OTP button.
A one-time password will be generated and can be used to access the Control Panel.
How to synchronize the Aruba OTP application
A failed login attempt may be caused by a synchronization issue between the one-time password generated by the Aruba OTP application and the one expected by the Control Panel.
After the first failed one-time password validation attempt, an error message will be displayed in the Control Panel.
If you are sure that the one-time password entered is correct, we recommend synchronizing the application by clicking the click here link displayed in the dialog box. You will be asked to enter two consecutive one-time passwords generated by the Aruba OTP application.
Once the synchronization process is complete, you will be able to access the Control Panel.
After 5 failed attempts to enter a one-time password, the Aruba OTP service will be blocked by the system.
