When you create a Cloud Server, the resources you choose (CPU, RAM, disk space) are dedicated to you and always remain available. You can change the resources you use at any time, except for disk space: in this case, you can only increase it, but you cannot
reduce it.
The cost of your Cloud Server depends on three main factors:
- the hypervisor you have chosen (OpenStack, VMware, Hyper-V);
- the status of the Cloud Server (on, off or archived);
- the type of billing.
If you choose monthly or annual billing, the cost remains unchanged, regardless of the hypervisor used and the status of the Cloud Server (on, off or archived).
The table below summarizes the resources that must be paid for depending on the hypervisor and the status of a Cloud Server with hourly billing.
