1.4 Monitoring, analyzing and optimizing Aruba Cloud services

Preliminary considerations

Monitoring and analyzing Aruba Cloud services not only helps you keep your systems under control, but also allows you to optimize resource usage and reduce costs. This improves the stability, security and cost efficiency of your cloud services. Monitoring and log analysis, in addition to optimizing resources, are essential tools for preventing security incidents and promptly detecting anomalous behavior.

Service monitoring

  • Enable the Cloud Monitoring service to monitor the status of services (Cloud Servers, databases, DNS, etc.) in real time.
  • Set up automatic alerts to receive notifications (email and/or SMS) when protocol or service checks fail.
  • Plan corrective actions or scaling based on the events detected.

Activity log and logs

  • Regularly check the activity log for any anomalies or inconsistencies that are not being monitored.
  • If you experience performance issues or anomalies with a service, analyze the system logs to identify the causes.
  • Logs are also essential for security: analyzing them regularly allows you to identify suspicious access or intrusion attempts.

Statistics and reports

  • View usage statistics for the various services directly from the management panels.
  • Analyze resource usage over time to anticipate load peaks and plan interventions.
  • Use reports to share data and decisions with your team.

Resource optimization

  • Use the data collected from monitoring and statistics to adjust resources based on actual usage.
  • Avoid waste and optimize costs while maintaining high performance and operational continuity.
  • Use the pay-per-use model effectively, investing only in the resources you actually need.
