09 Creating a snapshot

Requirement

Creating a snapshot from the Cloud Server details page

• go to the details page of the Cloud Server;
• in the lower part of the page, select the Snapshots tab;
• select + Create new snapshot;
• the Create new snapshot procedure requires the following details:
  • 1. Volume selection
    • select one of the volumes connected to the Cloud Server;
    • select Next;
  • 2. Details
    • assign a name to the snapshot (follow the naming requirements);
    • you can assign one or more tags to the snapshot (follow the tagging requirements);
    • the destination project is inherited from the reference volume;
    • select Next;
  • 3. Location
    • the snapshot location is inherited from the reference volume;
    • select Next;
  • 4. Configuration
    • the snapshot size is inherited from the reference volume;
    • select Next;
• select Confirm on the right of the sticky bar to finish creating the snapshot.
