What to know before buying a public IP address
Before buying a new public IP address, consider the following:
- you can buy an OpenStack-compatible IP address only in data centers where you have at least one OpenStack Cloud Server;
- you can buy a VMware / Microsoft Hyper-V-compatible IP address even if you do not have any Cloud Servers in the data center;
- you can buy a public IP address without immediately associating it with a Cloud Server;
- you can associate up to 15 public IP addresses with each Cloud Server.
The public IP addresses you purchase are subject to the applicable service charges, even when they are not associated with a Cloud Server.
