1.2 Creating a peering between two VPC Networks

Requirement

You must have at least two active VPC Networks in the same region and associated with the same project.

To create a peering between two VPC Networks, proceed as follows:
  • Go to the details page of the VPC Network you want to connect;
  • scroll down and select the Peering tab;
  • click the + Create new Peering button;
  • in the Create new Peering wizard, provide the following:
    • 1. Details
      • Peering name: the name that will identify the link you are creating (naming rules).
      • Tags (optional): you can associate tags with each peering to make it easier to find in the list (tagging rules).
      • Click Continue.
    • 2. Configuration
      • The first VPC Network (SOURCE) is already selected; choose the VPC Network (DESTINATION) you want to connect from the available options;
        Only VPC Networks that are active, in the same region, and associated with the same project as the source VPC Network will be selectable.
      • Click Continue.
    • click the Confirm button on the right side of the sticky bar to complete peering creation.
The newly created peering will appear in the list under the Peering section. Once its status is Active, you can proceed to create peering routes.
