You can activate a maximum of 30 virtual machines (Cloud Servers and Cloud VPS) with your Cloud account. To activate more than this, you need to contact
customer support.
To create a Cloud VPS, follow these steps:
- sign in to the Control Panel;
- in the left vertical menu, under VPS select Cloud VPS > Create new VPS;
- this will start the Cloud VPS creation process which is different according to which hypervisor you choose:
OpenStack
- 1 - Choice of Technology
- select OpenStack hypervisor;
- indicate whether you want to use a Linux or Windows operating system;
- 2 - Choice of Size
- Cloud VPS service resources (vCPU/RAM/HD/data traffic) are set by size. Choose one of the following sizes:
- Starter
- for Linux only;
- IPv6 included;
- IPv4 optional for a fee;
- SSD storage;
- SLA 99.80%;
- Standard
- for Linux and Windows;
- IPv4 included;
- IPv6 optional free of charge;
- NVMe storage;
- SLA 99.95%;
Should you wish to upgrade, you cannot change the choice of Starter or Standard but only the sizes of Starter or Standard offered.
- 3 - Choice of Template
- select one of the available templates;
- Configure an additional public IPv4 address (Starter size) - by ticking the option, you will also get an IPv4 address, for a fee, in addition to the IPv6 address automatically assigned by the system;
- Configure an additional public IPv6 address (Standard size) - by ticking the option, you will also get an IPv6 address, for a fee, in addition to the IPv4 address automatically assigned by the system; the public IPv6 address can only be activated when creating the Cloud VPS;
- 4 - Server Details
- assign a name to the Cloud VPS;
- 5 - Server management account
- set a password to use for the Cloud VPS;
- if you have chosen a Linux template, you can add an SSH key;
- Cost summary
- this area shows the costs divided by type.
- Click on CREATE YOUR CLOUD VPS, the Create new Cloud Server window will open asking you to confirm by clicking OK, CREATE CLOUD SERVER.
VMware
- 1 - Choice of Technology
- select VMware hypervisor;
- 2 - Choice of Template
- select one of the available templates;
- by ticking the option Configure an additional public IPv6 address, you will also get an IPv6 address in addition to the IPv4 address automatically assigned by the system; the public IPv6 address can only be activated when creating the Cloud VPS;
- 3 - Choice of Size
- Cloud VPS service resources (vCPU/RAM/HD/data traffic) are set by size. Choose a size from the options provided;
- 4 - Server details
- assign a name to the Cloud VPS;
- 5 - Server management account
- set a password to use for the Cloud VPS;
- if you have chosen a Linux template, you can add an SSH key;
- Cost summary
- this area shows the costs divided by type.
- Click on CREATE YOUR CLOUD VPS, the Create new Cloud Server window will open asking you to confirm by clicking OK, CREATE CLOUD SERVER.
