Limit on the number of virtual machines that can be activated
There is a limit of 30 virtual machines (OpenStack Cloud Servers, VMware Cloud Servers and Cloud VPSs) that you can activate with your Cloud account. If you need to activate more, you must contact
customer support.
Cloud VPS configuration procedure
During the purchase process, you can also select and add other services (Firewall, Switch, etc.); among these,
Smart Storage is the only service that can be used with the Cloud VPS OpenStack.
To create a Cloud VPS OpenStack:
- sign in to Aruba CMP;
- from the menu, select BARE METAL & VPS > VPS;
- in the VPS area, select Go to service;
- in the VPS section, select the Setup VPS button;
- choose one of the available sizes and select the Setup button at the end of the corresponding row;
- you will be redirected to the cart.aruba.it shopping cart and the Cloud VPS OpenStack configuration process will start:
- CONFIGURATION
- SERVER FEATURES - the size is preset, but you can change it;
- LOCATION - choose the data centre from those available for the selected size;
- OPERATING SYSTEM - choose the template to use;
- SERVER MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT - set the password for signing in to the Cloud VPS OpenStack;
- INFO - enter the name of the Cloud VPS OpenStack;
- select the CONTINUE and go to the summary button;
- SUMMARY
- check the Cloud VPS OpenStack configuration and the cost summary;
- select the CONTINUE with the purchase button;
- LOGIN
- if you already have an Aruba account, enter your username and password and select SIGN IN;
- if you are a new customer, select Create your Aruba account and complete the registration;
- CLIENT DETAILS
- check or enter the required details and select CONFIRM;
- PAYMENT
- in Order summary and payment, choose one of the available payment methods;
- accept the contractual terms and select the CONFIRM ORDER and proceed to payment button;
If you are a new customer, once the purchase is complete, a
Cloud account is also created automatically.
