What is the management user

The management user is a specific type of Cloud user, designed to operate within the Aruba Cloud management panels with an assigned role on defined resources (folder, project region) .
It is used to delegate operational activities to internal or external users (such as collaborators or suppliers), while maintaining precise control over the permitted scope of action.

Who can create it

Management users can be created by any user with an Aruba Cloud account.
A management user can also create others, provided that the assigned role allows them to perform this operation.

What it is for

Management users allow you to delegate operational activities to users who need to work on specific resources within your Cloud environment.
Each management user is always associated with at least one folder, one project, and one region, which define its operational scope. The actions that the management user can perform (such as viewing, creating, or modifying resources) depend on the assigned role.

Data associated with the management user

Each management user is a standard Cloud user, consisting of a username and a password to access the Aruba Cloud management panels.
During the creation and activation phase, the user is also assigned a nickname, useful for easily identifying it among the created users.

Management user statuses

A management user can be in the following statuses:
  • To be activated: the user has not yet completed the registration and activation of the Cloud account.
  • Active: the user is active, has accepted the invitation, and has the credentials to access the Aruba Cloud management panels with their Cloud account.
  • Suspended: the user is temporarily disabled.
