What is Multi-IP?
Multi-IP allows you to associate multiple public IP addresses with the same network interface of a Cloud Server. Additional IP addresses are configured on the same network interface as the primary IP address, allowing the Cloud Server to use multiple public IP addresses simultaneously.
You can use Multi-IP, for example, to assign different public IP addresses to services or domains hosted on the same Cloud Server.
Associating Multi-IP
To use Multi-IP, you must have additional public IP addresses in the same data center as the Cloud Server and compatible with its technology (OpenStack or VMware).
If you do not have any additional IP addresses available, see the guide
Buying new public IPs.
To associate one or more public IP addresses with the same network interface of the Cloud Server, follow the procedure described in the guide
Associating and disassociating a public IP address with a Cloud Server.
Configuring Multi-IP
After associating the public IP addresses with the Cloud Server, you must configure them in the operating system by adding them to the relevant network interface. The configuration of additional IP addresses depends on the operating system used. For the available procedures, see the guide
Multi-IP: configuring it on Windows and Linux.
If you subsequently
associate or disassociate additional public IP addresses, you must also update the network interface configuration in the operating system.
