Personal templates and their purpose
A personal template is a template that you can create from an already configured VMware Cloud Server. You can use it to create other VMware Cloud Servers with the same configuration, without having to replicate the source server settings each time, with a few exceptions such as the IP address. You can also learn more about the other
types of templates available.
Personal template availability across data centers
The personal template is saved in the
/PersonalTemplate/ directory of the
FTP space associated with the
data center where the source VMware Cloud Server is located.
You can therefore use the personal template in the same data center. To use it to create a Cloud Server in another data center, follow the procedure to
upload a personal template to another data center.
