2.5.3 Scheduled backups

Description

A scheduled backup involves creating a schedule to perform backups on a specific DBaaS at regular intervals chosen by the user. Scheduled backups are only performed on active services.

Adding a scheduled backup plan

  • In the vertical left-hand menu, select Scheduled backups under TOOLS;
  • in the Cloud DBaaS scheduled tasks area, click on ADD TASK;
  • the Add scheduled task window will open, requiring the following parameters:
    1. Plan name
    2. Service
      • Service type;
      • Service;
      • Database name;
    3. Status
    4. Schedule
      • Start date and time
      • Task frequency:
        • Hourly;
        • Daily;
        • Weekly;
        • Monthly;
        • End date and time;
    5. Notes
  • once the plan has been added, it will appear in the Show as list section and can be edited or deleted at any time.

Edit a scheduled backup plan

  • From Show as list select the plan you want to edit and click on the corresponding EDIT button;
  • the Edit scheduled task window will open, where you can make the following changes:
     
    Plan name  
    Service type  
    Service  
    Database name  
    Status  
    Start date  
    Recurring task  
    End date  
    Notes  
  • click on CONFIRM to implement the changes.

Delete a scheduled backup plan

  • From the Show as list section, select the plan you want to delete and click on the corresponding DELETE button;
  • the Confirm delete scheduled task window will open, requesting confirmation;
  • click on OK, DELETE to confirm.
     
    Please note that deleting a scheduled backup plan will not affect the log section and will not delete backups created.
