1.4 Transfer a Domain Name

Before transferring a domain name to Arubacloud, you must be in possession of the Auth Code, which can be obtained from the Registrar of the domain.

To transfer a domain name, please proceed as follows:
  • sign in to the Control Panel;
  • select "DOMAINS" from the horizontal menu;
  • select "Manage" from the left menu, under "DOMAINS";
  • in the "Domains" section, click on "ADD NEW DOMAIN";
  • you will reach the "New Domain" section, where you are required to enter the following details:
 
  • A second-level domain name must be entered and one of the available extensions selected.
  • Select "VERIFY" to continue.
  • If you own the domain, you can continue using the Auth Code.
  • Click on "PROCEED >" to continue.
  • The additional service "Whois Privacy", can also be activated.
     
    Additional service options vary according to the extension selected.
  • Click on "PROCEED >" to continue.
  • Fill in the domain holder details in the form provided. These details will be passed on to the relevant Authority (body responsible for domain name registration).
  • Mandatory terms and conditions of the contract must be accepted.
  • Click on "PROCEED >" to continue.
  • Each domain name requires certain DNS (NS Records) set as Authoritative. These must be entered here. The user can choose to use custom DNS, entering the details in the DNS1, DNS2, etc, fields.
    • If the user does not have a DNS, they can use the one provided by Aruba Cloud by simply clicking on "USE CLOUD DNS".
  • Click on "CREATE DOMAIN" to complete the transfer.
